Our class has a private Facebook page - Ludlowe68. To join our private Facebook page, you have to be approved by an admin (administrator. We have 3 class members who are admins). So it really is a private group where we can write to each other, share photos, etc. Another reason to join our private Facebook page is that the photos which will be taken during the reunion will be posted there. If you're going to the reunion, you'll be able to post your photos there. If you're NOT going to the reunion, you'll be able to see the photos taken there.
Here are directions on how to join Facebook, including how to make your own Fackbook account private.
- Go to www.facebook.com and Create a New Account. You have to give a working email address.
Once you fill in that information, Facebook wants to confirm that you indeed do own the email address you just typed in. So you will receive an email like this:
Copy that confirmation code into the box on the Facebook page. Click Continue. When it says "Account Confirmed", click OK.
Then Facebook might suggest some friends. If you want to remain private, do not add any friends - ever. Just click Next.
When you get to the "Welcome to Facebook, " page, go to the blue bar on the top. Click on the dark triangle on the right end of that blue bar, then click on Settings.
In the left column, click on Privacy. By doing the following, people will not be able to find you on Facebook, they won't be able to ask you to be their friend, etc.

Chick edit for each of the six questions (starting with "Who can see your future posts?" and ending with "Do you want search engines ...?") and make the same choices as listed above. Since you are not going to add any friends and only friends can see your information, your information is private.
What you now want to do want is become a member of Ludlowe68. So go to the blue bar on the top. In the white search box (next to the blue f - Facebook's logo), type in Ludlowe68 .
On the next page, under Groups, click on Ludlowe68 .
Under that old photo from our senior days, click on + Join Group .
You will then have to answer Question 1 - what your name was at Ludlowe in '68. Once you do that, click on Send to Admins , then on OK.
When one of the admins approves your join group request, you will see a red 1 in the blue bar on top. Click on it - you will see a message "Your request to join Ludlowe68 has been approved. Now you can post and comment in this group.
In the white search box (next to the blue f), type in Ludlowe68 .
On the next page, under Groups, click on Ludlowe68 . THERE WE ARE!!! Look around at the posts and photos and members :-)
